My online name is Ummi Teacher To Be (Ibu Calon Guru) because I, and especially my husband, have not yet fully decided between educating our children at home or at school. I may or may not, as their mother also become their teacher.* In addition to that, we are not sure how positive our big family and our friends will respond to our decision to homeschool. We must gather as much encouraging information as possible to answer their anticipated questions.
Our boys are now only 3.5 and 2 years old, we still have a lot to learn about how to raise righteous Muslims. With this blog, we hope to find inspiration online from those who have been experienced in home educating their children and those who are ahead in knowledge on Islamic Parenting.
When the going gets tough in our efforts to start and continue on the homeschooling journey, we seek inspiration to keep moving on. We may even need to renew our intention to educate at home every day, every month, every year if ever we reach a point where we cannot go on and prefer to give up our children to institutionalized schooling. InshaAllah, we don't want to forget to always turn to Allah for guidance whenever we feel any doubt about homeschooling. Indeed, Allah is the All-Knowing and All-Wise.
